Safari Hyper Market
The Safari Mall with a built up area of more than 20,000 m2 including rental outlets and a parking area of 23,000 sqm was built for the SAFARI GROUP. A fast track project with a value exceeding 75 Million Qatar Riyals with an aggressive timeline; it was completed in less than 18 months. Highlights included a single day pouring of more than 10,000m3 of concrete for the foundation.
Sud-Chemie Qatar
This project involved the construction of a Catalyst Manufacturing Plant at Mesaieed Industrial City for the German Sud-Chemie Group.
The project constituted construction of the central plant building including G+1 built up office space, a catalyst storage shed, electrical substations, and other ancillary service buildings a well as access roads and soft landscaping.
B+G+M+6 Commercial and residential building
Located at Musheirib, the heart of Doha, this project involved the construction of a six story apartment complex with a basement and mezzanine floor. Al Fowriya acted as the principal contractor and completed all civil work and the supervision of MEP and other services for the building.
Qatar Petroleum Civil Maintenance at Halul
Al Fowriya has been carrying out Civil maintenance activities at Qatar Petroleum's Halul island since 1998 having been awarded this contract through multiple three year cycles. Work involves the provision of supervisory staff, skilled and unskilled labor and construction material on a call off basis.
QAFCO Housing Maintenance
This is a three year contract for the maintenance of more than 500 residences including apartments and standalone villas across Doha for QAFCO employees. The work involves periodic maintenance of housing units (preventive maintenance for plumbing and electrical fittings, painting, replacement of roofing and tiling among others), attending routine maintenance issues and off-duty emergency repair services.
QAFCO Plant Maintenance Frame Contract
A three year contract for civil maintenance at the QAFCO plant. The work involves the whole spectrum of civil maintenance for the plant and offices including concrete strengthening and repair, painting, shutdown works, etc.
Asian Cup Football 2011 - Painting
Al Fowriya took up a challenging fast track project with the Qatar Olympic Committee for the refurbishment and painting of five football stadiums in time for the prestigious Asian Cup Football event held in Qatar. The work involved any necessary concrete or plaster repair and surface preparation and the painting of the external façade, the seating area, internal walls, and metal surfaces for five stadiums across Qatar. A total surface area of around one hundred and eighty thousand square meters was completed in two months time.
Asian Cup Football 2011 - Media Facilities
Another fast track project carried out by Al Fowriya in preparation for the Asian Cup event in Doha. The work involved the construction of multiple Presentation studios, and camera platforms and the fabrication of Media seating facilities for the six stadiums hosting the event across Doha. The Media seating facilities was completed in two months and involved the removal of the existing seats, fabrication of Media desks and installation at site for a total number of more than 1800 media personnel across locations.
